Terms of service
Last updated: September 15, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of UnityDonate. Please read them carefully before donating, starting a fundraiser, or otherwise using the platform.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using UnityDonate ("we," "us," or "the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Who can use UnityDonate
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to start a fundraiser, make a donation, or create an account. You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
3. Fundraisers
Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their fundraiser's title, story, goal, and category. All fundraisers are subject to review before publishing and may be removed, paused, or edited by UnityDonate if they violate these terms or applicable law. Funds raised must be used for the purpose described in the fundraiser.
4. Donations
Donations made through UnityDonate are voluntary contributions to the organizer of a fundraiser, not to UnityDonate. Donations are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where UnityDonate determines, at its discretion, that a refund is appropriate (for example, in cases of fraud).
5. Withdrawals and payouts
Organizers may request withdrawal of funds raised, subject to verification of the settlement account and any applicable holding periods. UnityDonate reserves the right to delay, limit, or decline a withdrawal request where fraud, error, or a policy violation is suspected.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not use UnityDonate to raise funds for illegal purposes, to misrepresent the purpose or beneficiary of a fundraiser, or to engage in any activity that is fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful to others.
7. Platform fees
UnityDonate may charge a service fee on donations or withdrawals to cover payment processing and platform costs. Applicable fees, where charged, are disclosed at the point of donation or withdrawal.
8. Limitation of liability
UnityDonate provides the platform on an "as is" basis and does not guarantee that any fundraiser will reach its goal or that funds will be used as described. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnityDonate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of UnityDonate after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
